The CIA used all kinds of methods to find new info. One of the most important methods was the use of the Lockheed U-2; a reconnaissance aircraft that was used to survey foreign lands. The U-2 was a very important to the CIA during the Cold War, like when it was used to spy and watch Cuba, during the Cuban Missile Crisis and provide information on what the Cubans were exactly doing. Or when it was used to simple fly over the Soviet Union and track troops and missiles.
